International Vision With Grassroot Level Flavours
An Introduction of Our Mission:-
The foundation of any democracy lies in the participation of its people, the more participatory the public is the more vibrant the democracy becomes, however the participation should not be superficial it has to be dedicated and definitive, which can be ensured by encouraging participation from the root level i.e. the rural population which is the backbone of our democracy. Certainly this goal can be achieved only by strengthening our gram sabhas and Gram Panchayats which is the basic platform for the participation of rural India. International centre of Governance Society have been founded to explore, share and promote good governance in India particularly in the state of Jharkhand by helping governments, voluntary organizations, private and public sectors and communities to put good governance in practice for the well being of the citizens and society. To this end, ICGS work with grass root level institution as well as National/International level Institution in India. ICGS also provides advisory services to organizations and governments. In other words ICGS innovates, creates and delivers for good governance
ICGS, a non profit making organization aims at good governance, public service delivery and socio economic development at panchayat level democratic set up to by organizing practice oriented training programme. In addition to that ICGS confer GOOD GOVERNANCE AWARD to panchayat level elected representatives for their outstanding contribution to the communities.
ICGS offers training programmes that focus on real life situation and challenges that participants (mainly panchayats representatives)face in their day to day functioning.
ICGS help governments through consultancy in policy making, project formulation and implementation so that good governance can be ensured in every walk of life.
ICGS also extends the help to the voluntary sectors in project formulation and impart training for implementation.
ICGS current interest include work related to voluntary sector and governance, governance and education, technology and governance, policy making, social development, leadership and change management, democratic reform and citizens involvement, voluntary sector governance, health and governance, monitoring and evaluation and training.
ICGS was established in the year 2009 by Dr. Suvendu Jaipuriar a Lawyer cum social worker with the supports of some like minded people.
